Jaclyn Alexandra Smrecek, DDS
Dr. Smrecek grew up in Newport Beach where she attended Sage Hill High School. She played varsity tennis all throughout high school and into college at Scripps College in Claremont, California. She followed in her father’s footsteps by working in his dental office during the summers, eventually going on to become a dentist herself. She completed her dental education at the prestigious University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, graduating with high honors and gaining entry into all three honors societies:
- Tau Kappa Omega—a dental honor society that grants membership to the top 20% of students.
- Omicron Kappa Upsilon—a membership that is offered to only 12% of the graduating class.
- Phi Kappa Phi—a highly esteemed honor society that extends exclusive invitations to a limited number of graduating students.

Dr. Smrecek is also a proud member of the American Dental Association®, the California Dental Association and the Orange County Dental Association.
Dr. Smrecek’s father founded the practice in 1981, and now she continues her father’s legacy of high-quality dental care to the community of Newport Beach, California, and the surrounding areas of Orange County. Not only was Dr. Jaclyn trained by her father, but she also pushes the Smrecek dental legacy forward by enhancing her skills through continuing education courses to stay on top of the latest techniques, which allow her to deliver the best that dental care has to offer to her patients. Dr. Jaclyn is committed to treating her patients like family by customizing their care to their specific needs and desires. “I aim to educate my patients so that they can understand the value of a healthy mouth and smile. In the end, my goal is to get my patients healthy and, most importantly, KEEP them healthy.”
Dr. Smrecek’s hobbies include backpacking and hiking, tennis, Peloton® workouts and surfing at San Onofre State Beach, Blackies, Bolsa Chica State Beach and Southside Huntington Beach Pier.
Navid Nobaharestan, DDS, MS
Dr. Navid Nobaharestan is a board-certified periodontist specializing in the treatment of periodontal disease, dental implant therapy, soft and hard tissue augmentation, esthetic periodontal surgeries and moderate sedation. He received his Bachelor of Science in biology with honors from UCLA. From there, he attended the University of the Pacific (UOP) School of Dentistry, where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery, and piqued his interest to gain expertise in the field of periodontology. He pursued his specialty in periodontics at the University of Southern California, where he also earned his master’s degree in craniofacial biology.
During his time at USC, Dr. Navid was engaged in multiple research projects focusing on new advancements in gum grafting, bone grafting and dental implants. He also served as a contributing editor for The Journal of the Western Society of Periodontology. Dr. Navid is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and a proud member of the American Academy of Periodontology, Western Society of Periodontology, American Dental Association® and California Dental Association.
